V2 Challenge Gets Under Way

Turkey's own racing car, the Volkicar, is this time in the hands of young drivers! The opening round of the V2 Challenge, held at the Izmir Ülkü Park Race Track, will take place on Sunday 22 January. The second round of the three-round series will be run on 12 February, with the third round on 5 March.

Organised by the İzmir Ülkü Motorsports Club, the V2 Challenge will have 16 drivers on the entry list this year. Drivers who finish on the podium at the end of the V2 Challenge races will receive cash prizes. At the end of the series, the overall winner will take home 6,000 TL, the runner-up 3,000 TL and the third-placed driver 1,000 TL.

Open to motorsport enthusiasts, newcomers and anyone with a passion for the sport, the V2 Challenge will see almost all of its 16 drivers get behind the wheel of a racing car for the first time, adding an unforgettable experience to their driving careers.

By bringing together car and sports culture, the V2 Challenge contributes to spreading motorsport at grassroots level in Turkey, and with the aim of bringing more competitors into the sport, it allows anyone who wishes to race on an affordable budget. For those who want to follow the excitement as spectators, entry for spectators will be free.
