When Will the Season Start?

Off-road is increasingly making its weight felt on the calendar. The 2020 season greeted us with a rich calendar and a number of races unseen in this discipline for years, with local, national and international events in abundance. The seven-round Turkish Off-road Championship, the six-round TOSFED Baja Cup, the eight-round Black Sea Off-road Cup, the six-round Mediterranean Off-road Cup, plus TransAnatolia and Baja Troia, both expected to be held again this year and both great assets for our country…
However, our country is also continuing its fight against the coronavirus pandemic that the whole world is battling, resolutely and with the measures it has taken. As part of these measures, as you know, motorsport, like all events, has been suspended for a while.
An online meeting was held by the federation in recent days. With competitors joining from their homes, the questions on everyone's minds were asked and requests were heard. National championship competitors voiced their satisfaction with the previous season. The question everyone was curious to hear the answer to was "When will the season start?" Unfortunately, there is no answer to that question yet. Yes, we have all missed racing and the excitement terribly... But the most important thing is to get through these difficult days in the best possible health.
Of course, we don't know how many races will be left once this period is over. But we can create an opportunity for ourselves to take important decisions for next season and make new plans. It is clear that next season will also arrive with a calendar full of races. The first question that comes to mind is "Which event will we enter?" Each has a different flavour, and all are wonderful events. The rising star, with its growing number of rounds, is the TOSFED Baja Cup. For those who want a different experience, the TransAnatolia and Baja Troia events await. As someone who has started both events, I believe the successful competitors of the national championship would enjoy them greatly.
Think about it…
Stay at home, stay healthy.
