Motorsport Loses a Much-Loved Elder Brother
Zafer Vatansever, one of motorsport's tireless workers and an elder brother to us all, lost his long battle with illness and passed away on the night of 21 November at the age of 58. The funeral will take place on Thursday 22 November, after the afternoon prayer at the Bursa Hürriyet Central Mosque, followed by the burial.
Over the years, Zafer Vatansever held roles such as clerk of the course, sporting steward and ASN observer in almost every discipline, and also served as a BOSSEK board member and chairman of the provincial officials' committee. A retiree of Oyak Renault, Vatansever had been serving the sport for the past three years as a member of the TOSFED Sporting Commission.
