Last Tango in the Rain
The sixth and final round of the AVIS 2026 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship was held at TOSFED Istanbul Park, with the support of AVIS, Spor Toto, Tuzla Municipality and Salados.
Twenty-four drivers took to the track in the Super and Maxi groups over the weekend, and both races were run in wet conditions.
In the Super group, Bora Aral of Team ADD finished second in the first race and won the second, while Emre Can Ünal of Ülkü Motorsport won the first race and Kaan Marangoz took second in the second race. İbrahim Özbıyık in the first race and Murat Gürakan in the second completed the Super group podium in third place, both in Hyundai i20 Ns.
Arda Şansal, 17, the 2026 RMC Turkey Senior champion, made a rapid debut in the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, winning both Maxi group races in a weekend that marked his first experience of a car. In the first Maxi race Zekai Özen of Texaco Team AMS finished second, while in the second race his team-mate Seda Kaçan took second place. Umut Göktaş was third in the first race, and Melih Söylemez took the final podium spot in the second.
Ülkü Motorsport won the teams' title in the Super group and Sesa European GT Team in the Maxi group, while Seda Kaçan won both races in the women's classification.
