Lessons for Pupils, Report Cards for Parents

The "How Is the Parent's Report Card?" social responsibility project, organised by the Women's Committee of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation, continued on 7 February at the Istanbul MEV College Florya Campus...
2014 and 2015 Turkish Rally Champion Murat Bostancı of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye and co-driver Nehir Yılmaz of GP Garage My Team gave the pupils basic information on road safety and motorsport, while the Ford Fiesta R5 rally car Bostancı competes in was displayed at the school entrance. After the seminar ended, report cards were handed out to pupils whose parents drive, and the pupils were asked to assess whether their mothers obey the rules when driving.
The seminars, aimed at primary school pupils at selected schools in different provinces, will continue after Bursa and Istanbul in provinces including Muğla, Eskişehir, İzmir and Ankara until April. At the end of the seminars, the 20 most successful parents will receive free advanced driving technique training from expert instructors at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track.
Work has already begun to continue the project in a more detailed and wide-ranging form in the 2017-2018 school year, and it aims to reach 5,000 primary school pupils this year.
