Aegean Competitors Gather at EOSK

The Ege Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (EOSK) held its first meeting with motorsport enthusiasts from the Aegean region and Izmir on the evening of 2 February at its office in Çınarlı.

The meeting began with an overall review of 2016, with the problems competitors had experienced at last year's events and their requests heard. How EOSK could come up with solutions and meet those requests was debated openly, and last season was examined from both the competitors' and the club's side. The meeting went on to discuss, through mutual suggestions and views, how the races EOSK will organise in 2017 could best be run, from the perspective of both organisation and competitors.

Another item on the agenda was the Aegean Cup, a long-standing tradition. Which events could award points towards the 2017 Aegean Cup and which events it could be made up of were discussed, and the competitors' wishes and expectations on the subject were heard. It was decided to meet again to discuss the 2017 Aegean Cup calendar and regulations in draft form. In light of the information gained from the meeting, which was highly productive for both sides, it was concluded that with a refreshed perspective, stronger, more productive and more enjoyable work can be done together.
