Ayhancan Competes in Formula Alfa Series

Young national driver Ayhancan Güven, who has competed in more than 100 national and international karting races since the 2004 season and achieved successful results, is representing Turkey in the Formula Alfa series in Georgia in the 2015 season.

Having finished this season's V2 Challenge series in first place and set to continue in V1 Challenge, Ayhancan made his Formula Alfa debut on 4-5 April at Georgia's Rustavi circuit. Impressing with strong lap times in qualifying and practice, the young driver was out of the race when, during a battle between the two leaders, one of them spun and damaged a front wheel.

Travelling to Georgia once again for the series' second round on 25-26 April, Güven finished both races in eighth place among his experienced rivals, speeding up the learning process.

Six races will be held in Formula Alfa this season. The series, which first raced at Intercity Istanbul Park in the 2014 season, will once again stage a round in Istanbul this season, on 17-18 October.
