Stars of Tomorrow Head for Final Showdown

The final selection for this year's third edition of the TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor (TOSFED Searching for a Star) project, organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation with Fiat and Petlas as sponsors, will take place at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track on 20-21 June 2019. Sixty male and five female candidates will gather at the Ramada Plaza İzmit Hotel on Thursday 20 June, where they will receive theoretical advanced driving and sporting driving technique training from experienced drivers of the Fiat Motorsport team. The candidates will then take to the track on Friday 21 June in Fiat Egea race cars prepared at Tofaş R&D, racing against the clock. The ten fastest male and three fastest female drivers at the end of the day will earn the chance to compete in the TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2019 series. The 13 candidates, who will win the right to take part in the four-race series free of charge, will make their racing debuts on Saturday 22 June at the Körfez Race Track, which will also host Round 1 of the 2019 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship. A total of 604 candidates, 26 of them women, took part in the TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2019 selection events held in April and May, with the ten fastest drivers of each day, along with the five fastest female drivers, securing a total of 65 places in the final selection.
