V1 Challenge 2017 Gets Under Way

V1 Challenge, the series for Türkiye's first purpose-built racing car, the Volkicar, kicks off its seventh season on Sunday 16 July with the opening round at İzmir Ülkü Park Race Circuit. Featuring a field of experienced and quick drivers, V1 Challenge will consist of six rounds and 12 races.

TL 102,000 IN PRIZE MONEY
V1 Challenge remains Türkiye's only car racing series offering prize money, with the winner of each race receiving TL 5,000, second place TL 2,500 and third place TL 1,000. A total of TL 102,000 in prize money will be distributed over the season, with the series visiting three different provinces and five different venues: İzmir, Kocaeli and Aydın.

V1 CHALLENGE ON TRT
Drawing strong interest from spectators with its competitive format, V1 Challenge will be broadcast on TRT Spor in the 2017 season. As the only race series organised in Türkiye and shown on national television channels, V1 Challenge aims to reach a large audience of motorsport enthusiasts at home. The season's thrilling opener can be watched free of charge at Ülkü Park Race Circuit.
