Ülkü Motorsport Impresses in Belgium

Ülkü Motorsport, which represents Turkey successfully in European motorsport, continued its run of strong results at the Belgian round of the Porsche Sports Cup, one of the most prestigious circuit racing series.

Ülkü Motorsport team captain and Turkish Circuit Racing Champion Ümit Ülkü, together with Galip Atar, flew the Turkish flag in Europe once again, this time alongside Bilal Saygılı and İsmet Toktaş, as they competed in the Porsche Super Sports Cup and Endurance races on 12-13 September.

In the first Porsche Super Sports Cup race on Saturday, run in intermittent rain and poor visibility, Ümit Ülkü finished 14th among 57 cars and sixth in a class of 24 cars, while Galip Atar took the chequered flag in 12th and Bilal Saygılı in 15th. In the second race, Ümit Ülkü finished 10th in class, Galip Atar 16th and Bilal Saygılı 17th.

In the first of the endurance races, in which two drivers share a car, Ümit Ülkü and Galip Atar finished 10th, with Bilal Saygılı and İsmet Toktaş 11th. In the second race, the Ümit Ülkü-Galip Atar crew came home 11th, while Bilal Saygılı and İsmet Toktaş were unable to finish because of mechanical problems.
