The Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) 2023 Gala Night was held at Zorlu PSM on the evening of 12 January 2024, hosted by TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı and members of the Board of Directors.
The evening was attended by AK Party Istanbul MP Prof. Dr. Halit Yerebakan, Beşiktaş District Governor Oğuzhan Bingöl, Odunpazarı Mayor Kazım Kurt, organising clubs, teams and competitors who achieved success on the national and international stage, and many other guests.
At the event, trophies were presented to those who earned awards through their results in the national championships in 2023. In addition, TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı and TOSFED Vice President Nisa Ersoy presented plaques of thanks to the sponsor companies that supported the 2023 season, to competitors who were successful abroad, and to the organising clubs and officials.
TOSFED Changes Its Logo After 27 Years
The new logo and corporate identity, launched at the gala and featuring crescent and star motifs, was warmly received by the motorsport community. The new logo was unveiled with a Ford Fiesta Rally3 rally car and TOGG, Turkey's domestic national car. Inspired by our glorious flag in the 100th year of the Republic, the new logo combines the heritage TOSFED has carried to date, its vision for the future, and the strength and passion it draws from the motorsport community, and will serve as the federation's new symbol in the digital and corporate world.
2024 Season Opens in Sarıkamış
At the gala, which was supported by Zorlu Enerji, President Üçlertoprağı summarised the federation's goals for the new season: "We will start the 2024 season, which we will dedicate to the name of our founding president, the late Oyman Atabay, who recently left us, with Rally Sarıkamış at the end of February. Through our events in different disciplines and our social responsibility projects, we will continue to work together with even greater enthusiasm for our shared passion."
Üçlertoprağı: "We Expect Istanbul Park to Be Opened to Motorsport and the Public"
Eren Üçlertoprağı also made a statement about the Istanbul Park circuit: "The lease of Istanbul Park, the biggest sports investment in the history of our Republic, expired on 18 July 2023. Despite this, the tenant company, which our General Directorate of Foundations describes as an 'occupier', has still not vacated the facility. We expect the eviction process to be concluded as soon as possible and for this huge facility to be opened to motorsport, to all our competitors and to the Turkish public, in line with the purpose for which it was built. To prevent the public loss from growing any further, we will continue to follow this process with determination."
