Season Opens in Sarıkamış

The Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2024 Turkish Rally Championship will be held on 23-25 February, organised by Eski 36 Spor Kulübü with the support of the Kars Governorship, Kars Municipality, Sarıkamış District Governorship and Sarıkamış Municipality, and sponsored by Duja Hotels, VST Tour, ICRYPEX, Spor Toto, Remed Assistance, Salados, Power App and Fora Araç Takip.

The first event of the season under the direction of Oyman Atabay, the rally will begin with a start ceremony in front of Kars Castle at 17.30 on the evening of Friday 23 February. On the opening day, the Duja spectator stage, set up at the Sarıkamış Ski Centre, will be run from 19.30.

On the second day, starting at 08.00 on Saturday, the Remed Assistance, Petrol Ofisi Maxima and Şehitler stages in the Yukarı Sarıkamış, Handere and Kızılçubuk areas will each be run twice, before the crews end the day at the service park in the Municipality Car Park at the Sarıkamış Ski Centre.

The crews will get back behind the wheel at 08.00 on Sunday 25 February, running the Harun Hayali, Mustafa Koç and VST Tour stages, located in the Yağbasan, İsnos and Keklik Deresi areas, twice each. They will then complete the first rally of the season with the prize-giving ceremony on the finish podium in front of Duja Chalet from 13.20.

Rally Sarıkamış, which also awards points in the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and the Celal Gülerhan TOSFED Rally Cup, is offering a 40% discount on entry fees, funded by a contribution from the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation, to support competitors given the high transfer costs.
