Youngest Turkish Rally Champion

The Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2023 Turkish Rally Championship ended with the Istanbul Rally on 23-24 December. The event was of great importance as it would decide the season champion, and the title fight continued right down to the final stage. Castrol Ford Team Türkiye's Ali Türkkan and Burak Erdener set the fastest time on eight of the rally's 10 stages, but dropped as far back as 30th after suffering two punctures on the first day. The crew recovered to finish fourth overall and win Class 3, taking the 2023 Turkish Rally Championship title. Red Bull athlete Ali Türkkan, 24, who began his motorsport career in karting at the age of seven, also won the event's junior drivers' category and went down in history as the "Youngest Turkish Rally Champion".
