Berkay and Yıldıray on the Podium in PSCD

Toksport WRT took on round four of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland at Germany's Oschersleben circuit on 11-12 August with five of our drivers. Over a weekend that featured four separate races, two sprints and two endurance events, 19-year-old young national driver Berkay Besler, competing in a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup car, took class wins in both sprint races and one endurance race to reach the podium three times…
In the first Super Sports Cup race, which featured 39 cars in total, Berkay Besler took the chequered flag second overall and first in the 5F class, while Ümit Ülkü finished sixth and Bilal Saygılı 29th. ELMOBA-backed Çağlayan Çelik was 16th overall and fourth in the 5E class.
In the second Super Sports Cup race, our young representative Besler once again took second overall and the class win, while Ümit Ülkü and Bilal Saygılı completed the race in fifth and 23rd respectively. ELMOBA-backed Yıldıray Demircioğlu finished 17th overall and fourth in the 5E class.
In the first endurance race, Berkay Besler crossed the line third overall and once again won his class. Ümit Ülkü completed the demanding race in seventh and fourth in class, ELMOBA-backed Yıldıray Demircioğlu in tenth and third in class, and Bilal Saygılı in 14th and eighth in class. On the podium for this race, Berkay collected two trophies, while Yıldıray received the third-place class award...
The second endurance race, however, was unlucky for our drivers. Berkay Besler, who had been running second overall and first in class, spun and crashed midway through the race and was unable to finish. Bilal Saygılı, who suffered a puncture, was another of our drivers who failed to see the flag. The ELMOBA-backed Yıldıray Demircioğlu / Çağlayan Çelik crew finished tenth overall and fourth in the 5E class, while Ümit Ülkü was 12th and took sixth in the 5F class.
After this race, Berkay Besler moved into the lead of the 5F class in the Endurance series with 24 points, and sits third in the Super Sports Cup championship, four points off the lead. The Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland series continues with round five at Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit on 8-9 September.
