WRC National Entries Close on 20 August

The rules that will apply to national and historic entrants at Rally Turkey, the tenth round of the 2018 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar, which will be held in Marmaris in Muğla province from 13-16 September 2018, were announced in Bulletin 2018/03, published on the official TOSFED website on 14.08.2018.
For Turkish crews wishing to take part in the rally, the entry fees, including insurance, were set at 5,000 TL for an individual entry and 7,500 TL for a team entry. A different arrangement has been introduced to allow cars that compete in the Turkish Rally Championship and the Historic Rally Championship, but cannot pass FIA scrutineering, to take part. Crews competing in the national and historic classifications, whose entries remain open until 18:00 on Monday 20 August 2018, will go through a separate scrutineering session at the Asparan Service Park from 22:00 on Wednesday 12 September 2018.
These crews will start five minutes behind the crews in the WRC classification and will compete under the Rally Turkey supplementary regulations, published on the website and approved by the FIA, but will be kept separate from the WRC classification.
Drivers in the national classification will start on the evening of Thursday 13 September and tackle the spectator stage, before running all the stages on Friday 14 September. On Saturday 14 September they will finish the rally at the service exit (TC 10C) after three stages.
For Turkish Rally Championship scoring, a separate overall classification will be drawn up among the drivers competing in the national and historic categories, and this scoring will apply to all championship titles and class wins in the Turkish Rally Championship.
In addition, drivers in the national and historic classifications will be entitled to rejoin under Super Rally under WRC rules, but will not score points in the Turkish Rally Championship.
