With the end of the season approaching, races nine and ten of round five produced a superb battle. The fight between the top four drivers still in contention for the 'Golden Cup' in the overall classification, Burak Çukurova, Ayhancan Güven, Göksun Erkek and Adem Çetmen, quite literally hit fever pitch. With practice and qualifying having warmed up the Körfez circuit, there was a storm of excitement. Motorsport fans followed the fifth corner of the V1 Challenge on the edge of their seats.

In the first race, Ayhancan Güven crossed the line first but was disqualified after his collision with Çukurova was judged to be deliberate. Burak Çukurova finished fourth, banking 13 points and gaining a big advantage in the overall classification. Heading into the second race with that confidence, Çukurova was the first driver across the chequered flag. After a race in which Ümit Erdim finished second and Adem Çetmen third, Çukurova was 45 points clear of his closest rival and sealed the title with one round of the season remaining.
