Galip Atar Heads to Hockenheim

Turkish driver Galip Atar will represent the country at Round 5 of the Ferrari Challenge Europe, which takes place at Germany's Hockenheim circuit on 9-11 September.

Atar finished runner-up in the Porsche Sports Cup Endurance last season at the famous Hockenheim circuit, which has hosted Formula 1 races since 1970, and this year returns to the same track in a Ferrari 458 Challenge EVO. Atar will race with technical support from the Swiss Octane 126 team, a Ferrari Challenge title winner that leads the championship after the first four races of the season. Having started in the series for the first time at Monza, Atar will line up in the cup for the second time and is among the leading contenders in the class.

The championship, in which all the cars are identical in technical specification, is a demanding and competitive series that puts the emphasis on driving skill. In a race featuring 37 drivers, Galip Atar is aiming to finish near the front.
