Where Photography and Motorsport Meet

Photographer and motorsport enthusiast Can Atasoy has been one of the names bringing the automotive world together with art since 2010. Working across a wide range of disciplines, from drifting, rallying and circuit racing to classic car events, Atasoy has long been an important part of the media team at racing events in Turkey, and particularly at the ApexMasters Turkish Drift Championship, capturing countless unforgettable frames.

In 2014, Atasoy took an important step in a motorsport career by starting work as a photographer at Istanbul Park, Turkey's only Formula 1 circuit. Between 2014 and 2016, photographing major events such as the World Rallycross Championship, Ferrari Challenge and the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship earned Atasoy a firm place in the circuit racing world. Bringing personal racing experience to the photography gave the images a unique perspective.

One of the most striking moments of Atasoy's photography career came in 2021 at Laguna Seca. Attending the Velocity Invitational as a spectator, Atasoy captured a historic moment as a Ferrari 250 GTO and a Jaguar C-Type came together side by side. Noticing the shot, the event organisers approached Atasoy with an offer to use the photographs in the event programme and on billboards. Driven by a passion for motorsport, Atasoy shared the photographs voluntarily and won great acclaim on the international stage.

Despite not having been there in a professional capacity, the global reaction to the images once again demonstrated Atasoy's artistic vision and mastery of photography. Bringing a fresh perspective to the motorsport world through both technical knowledge and an aesthetic eye, Atasoy continues the career at full speed.
