BOM Claims 14th Championship

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, with driver İbrahim Okyay and the BMW Z4 GT3 racing car, took the 2016 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship Maxi Group title by a clear margin, with 8 wins and a total of 88 points. In the 2016 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship Maxi Group, which comprised 5 rounds and 10 races held at the Izmir, Körfez and Serres (Greece) circuits, Bilal Saygılı finished second in a BMW Z4 GT3, while Ümit Ülkü took third in a Porsche 991 GT3.
Founded in 2008 by Borusan Otomotiv to contribute to the development of motorsport in Turkey and to promote Turkey abroad, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport has now raised its championship tally to 14, with 4 Teams' and 10 Drivers' titles won in the Turkish Circuit Racing Championships.

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, which competes in both national and international races with its national drivers İbrahim Okyay, Aytaç Biter, Levent Kocabıyık, Kaan Gürgenç and Fatih Ayhan, will contest its next race at the Vallelunga circuit in Rome, Italy, on 13 November.
After the race, İbrahim Okyay added: "As Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, we choose Shell V-Power Nitro+, Shell's best-performing fuel, and Shell Helix Ultra engine oils developed with PurePlus Technology. Shell V-Power Nitro+ reduces friction in engine components, allowing more power to be delivered to the wheels. Shell Helix, the first engine oil made from natural gas, keeps cars' engines clean, extends their life and boosts performance, contributing to our success on the race track."
