With motorsport suspended around the world because of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the excitement continues through simulator racing. National driver Ayhancan Güven is also continuing his fight in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Virtual Edition simulator racing series. Ayhancan Leads Sim Racing Series TooIn the season opener, held over two races at Spain's famous Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Red Bull driver Ayhancan finished the first race in second place and then won the second. With these results in the opening round, Güven moved into the championship lead with 45 points.

What Is the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Virtual Edition?

The races, in which real drivers take part with their real teams, will be held at 4 different circuits on 4 separate days. The event, which features two races on each race day (a double header), began on 4 April 2020. According to the race-day format, a 30-minute practice session will be held first. After a 15-minute qualifying session, the first race of the day will be run. After the first race, drivers will prepare for the day's second race with a 20-minute warm-up session. The final race will be run on 16 May. Although the contest will be between the official Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup drivers, surprise guest drivers will also join the event.
