Ayhancan Shines at Hockenheimring

The Porsche Sports Cup season finale was held at Germany's Hockenheimring on 21-23 October. In the Porsche Sports Cup endurance race, three Turkish drivers competed in Porsche 991 GT3s with technical support from Tok Sport WRT.
With qualifying cancelled on Sunday because of heavy fog, the starting grid was set according to the championship standings. As a result, Ayhancan Güven started 14th, Ümit Ülkü 24th and Bilal Saygılı 27th.
In the 110-minute race, which featured 17 cars in the 991 GT3 Cup class and 36 in total, Ayhancan Güven made a series of superb overtakes to climb all the way to third place. The young Turkish driver, who comes from a karting background, also finished first in the class. Backed by Number 1 FM and TV, Güven had already won his class, which featured 26 drivers, in round six of the series at Spa in Belgium, and this victory underlined his success. The other Turkish drivers in the 991 GT3 Cup class, Ümit Ülkü and Bilal Saygılı, took the chequered flag in seventh and fifteenth place respectively.
