Hancı gave her male rivals no respite with her performances in every event this season. Having mathematically secured the title after the Sinop round, she reached the championship in style by also finishing first in the season finale at Istanbul Park. As the only female off-road competitor to drive throughout the whole season, İlayda also became the "First Female Off-road Champion".

After the final round, İlayda Hancı said: "In the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship, where we competed with the support of Uniq Istanbul, Okan University and Hyundai Elevator, we had already clinched the Class 1 title in the fifth round. That's why we went into the season finale in Istanbul so relaxed. We finished the first day leading our class, and we finished the second day as leaders too. With this result, we became Class 1 Champions by a clear margin. Our plans and sponsor talks for the 2017 season are continuing. See you in the new season..."
