Three Turkish Drivers on the Podium in Europe

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport drivers İbrahim Okyay and Aytaç Biter, along with Ülkü Motorsport drivers Ümit Ülkü and Galip Atar, competed in Round 4 of the European Touring Car Cup (ETCC) at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic on 5-6 September.

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, which started in two different classes with İbrahim Okyay at the wheel of a BMW 320si and Aytaç Biter in a BMW 320TC, added to its European successes by placing both drivers on the podium. Experienced circuit racer Aytaç Biter finished second in the Super 2000 TC2T class, while the team's other driver, İbrahim Okyay, took the cup for second place on the podium in the Super 2000 TC2 category.

Ülkü Motorsport's drivers, who competed in the Super 2000 TC2T category with two BMW 320i TC2s under the technical support of Toksport WRT, also set very strong lap times in their category throughout the weekend. Ümit Ülkü took the chequered flag in third place in both races, while Galip Atar finished fourth.

Following these results, Aytaç Biter is second, Ümit Ülkü third and Galip Atar fourth in the Super 2000 TC2T category of the European Touring Car Cup, while İbrahim Okyay is third in the Super 2000 TC2 category. In the countries' standings of the European Touring Car Cup, Turkey moved up to third place with 114 points after this event.
