Mebuskent hosted the final round of the 2014 Ankara Off-road Cup. Competitors battled it out on a demanding 48-kilometre course, while spectators joined in the off-road excitement despite the cold weather.

Mebuskent, which will become a new living hub in Ankara once completed, hosted the final round of the 2014 Ankara Off-road Cup. In the last event of the year, Yunus Ahan took first place in the overall classification, with Ahmet Ünlü second and İsmail Ayhan third.

Organised by the Ankara Off-road Club (ANDOFF) at Mebuskent, built in Batıkent Karacakaya, one of Ankara's new attractions, the final event of the year once again produced colourful scenes despite the cold weather. The drivers showed off their skills over a course made up of four tough stages totalling 48 kilometres.

Aymor Group board member Kürşat Ayhan noted that Mebuskent had opened its doors to the races for the third time, and said they were delighted to have put on another fun and exciting event. Ayhan said: "Off-road enthusiasts showed great interest in the event. Clubs from all over competed fiercely on the demanding course. Despite the cold weather, the spectators didn't leave us on our own either. Spectators who lit barbecues while following the racing had a lovely Sunday."

Ayhan said they wanted to make hosting the off-road races a tradition, and hoped it would continue once life begins at Mebuskent.
