Fierce Battles in the Rain

Round 2 of the ERS Motors 3D Winter Cup and Round 1 of the V2 Challenge, organised by the İzmir Ülkü Motorsports Club, were held at the TOSFED Körfez Circuit on 24-25 February 2018.The races were run in difficult conditions, and with rain falling, cars that spun and stopped on track brought out the red flag twice. Once the circuit had been made safe, the action resumed where it had left off. In the first V2 Challenge race, Hakan Mete Kutay was the first driver to see the chequered flag, with Levent Başaran second and Yavuz İpçi third. In the second race, Levent Başaran took the win, ahead of Yavuz İpçi in second and Osman Işık in third.In the ERS Motors 3D Winter Cup's Diesel class, featuring VW Polo TDIs, Hakan Mete Kutay won the first race, with Osman Işık second and Savaş Ergül third. In the second race, Savaş Ergül won from Şakir Düz, with Mustafa Kırsoy third. In the first race of the 1600 class, featuring Fiat Sienas, Alper Şeker finished first and Mehmet Başer second. In the second race the top two places on the podium were unchanged, with Ali Hakan Kerci taking third.
In the Super class, the first race finished in the order Uğur Fatinoğlu, Osman Demirel and Ersin Yücesan. In the second race, where the rain played its part, Ersin Yücesan won, with Osman Demirel second and İrfan Özgür third. In the Maxi class, Oğuzhan Usta (Honda Civic Type-R) won the first race and Tuğrul Köselerden (Seat Leon Cupra R) was second. In the second race the two swapped places, with Köselerden first and Usta second on the podium.ERS Motors 3D Winter Cup Round 3 and V2 Challenge Round 2 will be held on 10-11 March, again at the TOSFED Körfez Racing Circuit.
