Young Talents Make Their Mark in V2 Challenge

The second round of V2 Challenge, Turkey's most successful series for amateur drivers, run with the locally built VOLKICAR race car, took place at Körfez Circuit on Sunday 6 December. Onat Telkenar, a 17-year-old young talent from a karting background, won the race. Berk Durak finished second, with Can Altınok third. Winner of the opening race and overall classification leader Serhan Kayalar finished fourth to extend the lead in the cup...
The only female driver in the three-race V2 Challenge is Hatice Gönül, wife of Fenerbahçe footballer Gökhan Gönül, who plans to complete the final race as well and make a rapid start in motorsport.
Competition has intensified considerably after this race... Serhan Kayalar leads the standings, while just one point separates second-placed Aydıncan Ataberk from third-placed Onat Telkenar. Can Altınok, who finished third in V2 Challenge's second race, is aiming to challenge the top three young drivers in the final race.
Organised by 34 Spor Kulübü, the V2 Challenge finale will be held on 19 December.
