Retro Rally in Memory of Mustafa Koç

Thanks to the initiative of Can Ünlü, one of the doyens of Turkish motorsport, and the support of Koç Holding, the "Retro Rally in Memory of Mustafa V.Koç" exhibition opens at the end of May. Numerous rally cars will go on show, among them the Ford Sierra Cosworth in which Mustafa Koç competed in 1992.
The exhibition will be opened with the attendance of former Turkish champion rally drivers and co-drivers, leading figures in motorsport, TOSFED presidents and executives from the automotive industry, and will remain open at the Rahmi Koç Museum in Sütlüce, Istanbul, until November.

The exhibition aims to introduce the champions of the years since rallying began in Turkey in the 1970s, and their cars, to a new generation, to relive those days and to bring the legendary drivers of the era together with motorsport fans. In the events organised as part of the exhibition, former champions will meet visitors at talks and autograph sessions.
The Ford Escort Cosworth associated with Serdar Bostancı, the legendary Opel Manta 400 in which Ali Bacıoğlu won the Turkish Rally Championship, Renç Koçibey's legendary Anadol with the registration 34 KA 501, the Renault 21 Turbo in which he won the Antalya circuit race, the famous Peugeot 205 GTI driven by Emre Yerlici, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Renault 19 16s, Renault 11 Turbo, Renault 12 Gordini, Murat 131, Fiat 124, Ford Escort MK2, Ford Escort MK1 and Nissan Sunny GT-R: these and many other legendary rally cars will be on show at the "Retro Rally in Memory of Mustafa V.Koç" exhibition...
