Simin Bıçakcıoğlu to Take on Marmaris

Turkey's oldest and most established international motorsport event, the Rally of Turkey, will be held for the 45th time on 13-15 May, running for the first time in Marmaris, in the Muğla province, under the name Marmaris Rally Turkey.
Marmaris Rally, which is expected to attract great interest from motorsport fans, will begin with the start at 12:00 on Saturday 14 May at the Marmaris İçmeler Market Place. The first day of the rally will end at 18:00 at the İçmeler Service Park, located in the Asparan and Yeşil Belde area.
On the final day, the competitors will battle it out on the Asparan, Hisarönü and Kufre stages from 08:30. After six stages on Sunday, the crews will complete the 400km Marmaris Rally on the finish podium at 15:00. The Rally of Turkey will be run in memory of Renç Koçibey, Mustafa Koç, Ali Sipahi, Lem'i Tanca and Yusuf Aramacı, who have passed away in recent years.
Bıçakcıoğlu, who competes in the Turkish Rally Championship for Neo Motorspor in a Mitsubishi EVO IX with Serkan Okan as co-driver, will take part in the event with CPM Yazılım and Palamut Group as title sponsors and the support of Klass Magazin and A&S Transport. Speaking ahead of the event, the driver said: "We made a fast and strong start to the 2016 Turkish Rally Championship with the Aegean Rally. Marmaris Rally features a number of firsts. For the first time in motorsport history, a race is being held in Marmaris. I'm very excited because the stages have never been raced before. I hope the rally fans will have a great time too. Our target is to win again. I would describe Marmaris Rally as the most important corner of the championship. As it is the longest and highest-scoring event of the season, the battle between the drivers will be at a very high level."
