TOSFED Launches Digital Circuit Cups

The Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED), with the support of Spor Toto, Media Markt and G-SHOCK, is launching its Digital Winter Cups events under the Red Bull Gaming Ground banner.
Having successfully run the Turkish Digital Circuit Racing and Rally Championships during the pandemic, in line with the Ministry of Youth and Sports' "stay at home, don't stay inactive" campaign, TOSFED will hold five separate cups in February on the Assetto Corsa, rFactor, GT Sport and Dirt Rally 2.0 platforms. Starting with qualifying heats on 11 February and running until 28 February, the cups will see the top finishers win prizes from Media Markt and G-SHOCK.
TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı reminded that they are the first and only federation among the 146 countries affiliated with the International Automobile Federation (FIA) to organise a national-status digital championship. He said that after the Winter Cup they will begin the 2021 Turkish Digital Circuit Racing Championship and the Turkish Digital Rally Championship from April. Noting that digital motorsport has drawn great interest from young people in recent years, and that many drivers worldwide have honed their skills in it before stepping onto real circuits, President Üçlertoprağı said: "Together with Red Bull, one of the biggest supporters of motorsport, with whom we are always happy to cooperate, and with Media Markt and G-SHOCK, who join our family with this cup, we will deliver a successful event."
