Fierce Battles in the TOSFED Cup

The third race of the season in the TOSFED Circuit Racing Cup took place on Saturday 07 November at the İzmir Park circuit. Ten competitors fought it out across three categories, with İzmir Ülkü Motorsporları Kulübü hosting an adrenaline-filled weekend.

Starting with practice and qualifying, the competitors in each category battled over two races to secure a place in the results. With closely matched cars fighting for the lead, there was intense competition, and after two 12-lap races, Mehmet Yeğen took the Category 1 win and Uygar Birgili finished second, the two drivers both racing Peugeot 106 GTIs.

In Category 2, Muhammed Ali Ülkü took victory in a VW Polo TDi, while Yağız Gedik, in a similar car, finished second and Cenk Burak Çelik took third.

In Category 3, which featured two competitors, Ahmet Mutlubaş took the win in a Honda Civic Type-R FN2, with İsmet Toktaş second in a Honda Civic Type-R EP3.

At the prize-giving ceremony after the races, the competitors received their trophies from İzmir Ülkü Motorsporları Kulübü President Ümit Ülkü, and also earned incentive prizes from the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation: 1,000 TL for the winners, 750 TL for second place and 500 TL for third.
