Our Drivers Back on the Podium in Italy

The final round of the 3H Italy Endurance series took place on Sunday 15 November at Italy's famous Vallelunga circuit. Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, with Aytaç Biter, Levent Kocabıyık and Fatih Ayhan behind the wheel, raced non-stop for three hours at the 4.08km Roma Vallelunga and finished the final round of the series in fourth place. The team thus completed the 3H Italy Endurance series in second place overall, thanks to its win at Imola and Monza and its third place at Misano.
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport also achieved significant success this season by finishing second in the Touring Car Endurance Series (TCES), which comprises six rounds and 12 races and which the team has contested for six consecutive seasons.
Since its foundation in 2008, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport has won seven consecutive Turkish titles in the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship. This season the team made a major change to its programme, taking a break from the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship and deciding to contest two different series simultaneously in Europe: the ETCC and the 3H Italy Endurance series. By the end of the season, the BOM crew had taken 14 trophies from 16 races on European circuits, lifting its achievements to a new level.
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport Team Manager İbrahim Okyay said: "At the start of the season, representing our country in two completely different racing series in Europe with five drivers and three cars meant a very demanding racing programme for us. Thanks to the faultless performances of all my driver colleagues, and especially our technical team, we finished second in both the ETCC and the 3H Endurance series, achieving better results than the targets we set at the start of the season. Taking trophies and reaching the podium in Europe will no longer be enough for us. From now on we will definitely be aiming for the championship."
