The Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) is preparing to take a strong squad to the FIA Motorsport Games, which will be held at the Paul Ricard F1 circuit in the south of France from 26-30 October. At the Games, organised by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), TOSFED will chase medals in eight different disciplines with a Turkish national team of 10 competitors, to be known as 'Team Türkiye'.
Team Türkiye, whose transport sponsor is Zipcar Türkiye and clothing sponsor is Puma, will be represented by Ayhancan Güven in the GT Sprint category with a Porsche 911 GT3 R, the Orhan Avcıoğlu-Burçin Korkmaz crew in the Rally2 category with a Skoda Fabia R5, the Ali Türkkan-Burak Erdener crew in the Rally4 category with a Ford Fiesta, Alp Hasan Aksoy in the Karting Sprint Junior category, Can Alakoç in the Cross Car Junior category, Kerem Kazaz in the Cross Car Senior category, Timur Pomak in the Drifting category with a BMW E92, and Ulaş Özyıldırım in the Esports category.
Speaking about the Motorsport Games, which are being staged on a much broader scale this year, Turkish Automobile Sports Federation President Eren Üçlertoprağı said: "For the first time in motorsport, we are taking part in the FIA Motorsport Games with such a comprehensive and institutional national team squad. In the disciplines where it was possible, we also took particular care to have our cars prepared by Turkish garages such as Toksport WRT, Ford Teknik Motorspor and MTG Motorsport. We are heading to France with a squad of competitors who are strong contenders in their disciplines, across a wide range from rally to circuit racing, gravel to asphalt, drifting to digital motorsport, with the aim of giving our young people experience, representing our country in the best possible way and winning medals."
