Çağlayan Çelik Becomes First Turkish Driver in TCR

Having signed with the Toksport WRT team for the 2017 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship and brought the Seat Leon, Turkey's first current-specification TCR touring car, Çağlayan Çelik is turning his attention to Europe in 2018. After a successful 2017 campaign in the Super class of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, backed by Warmhause and Aloft Bursa, Çelik will be in France for his first experience abroad. The young driver from Bursa, who will follow the Italian TCR Series in a Seat Leon TCR, will take to the 5.809-kilometre Paul Ricard circuit in the Le Castellet area of France on 12-13 May. Çelik, who will also start the remaining rounds of the series at Misano, Mugello, Imola, Vallelunga and Monza in Italy after this race, said he believes competing in this series will be a hugely valuable experience, and that being the first Turkish driver to race in a TCR series is also a source of pride.
