Fierce Battle in Sinop

Round 5 of the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship was organised by Sinop Offroad Club on 8-9 October, with 27 vehicles and 54 competitors taking part.
On the first day the crews battled it out on the forest stage named 15 Temmuz Milli İrade ve Demokrasi (15 July National Will and Democracy), located in the Akliman Kavaklık area, and on the second day on the spectator stage named Şehit Ömer Can Açıkgöz, located in the Botancılı Kışlaburnu area, giving the people of Sinop an enjoyable weekend.
After two days of tough competition, Hüseyin Memi-Ali Pertev from Sakarya took the overall win and the Class 4 victory in a Jeep CJ. Erdoğan Kovancı-Hasan Büyükcesur from Karabük finished second in a Jeep Wrangler, while Ekrem Aydın-Hasan Özcan from Bursa took third overall, and the Class 3 win, in a Mitsubishi Pajero.
The other class wins went to Murat Ulusoy-Soner Çınar from Samsun in a Suzuki Vitara in Class 1, and İrfan Özdemir-Engin Başkurt from Zonguldak, also in a Suzuki Vitara, in Class 2.

The season finale of the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship will be organised by Istanbul Park Sports Club on 22-23 October.
