Circuit Action Heads to Körfez

An adrenaline-filled weekend awaits at the İzmit Körfez Race Track, which hosts the 2016 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship on 13-14 August, organised by the Kocaeli Automobile Sports Club (KOSDER).

The second round of the season, which will feature the Ülkü Motorsport, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport and Gedik Ebam Racing Team squads, begins on Saturday 13 August from 10:00 with administrative and technical checks, followed by official practice and qualifying.

The Opel Corsa OPC Cup will also hold its second race at Körfez on the same dates. Organised by Safari Motorsport with the support of Opel Türkiye, the cup will see 15 Opel Corsa OPC cars, with power raised to 230 horsepower, in competition.

On Sunday 14 August, action gets under way at 11:15 with the first Super Group race. It will be followed by the first Opel Corsa OPC Cup race at 12:15, the first Maxi Group race at 13:15, the second Super Group race at 15:15, the second Opel Corsa OPC Cup race at 16:15 and, finally, the second Maxi Group race at 17:15.

The event will conclude with the prize-giving ceremony at 18:30 that evening.
