Motorsport Festival Cancelled
The cancellation of the "Motorsport Festival", which was to have been organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) on 22-23 October 2016, and the resulting date changes were announced in bulletin number 2016/10 of 8 August.
The bulletin published on the official TOSFED website includes the following statement:
"In view of recent events in our country and the state of emergency we are currently under, the calendar changes affecting the events scheduled as part of the Motorsport Festival, to be organised by our Federation on 22-23 October 2016, are as follows...
The Festival Rally, scheduled for 22-23 October 2016, will be held by ANOK in Çorum on 29-30 October 2016,
The Festival Circuit Race, scheduled for 22-23 October 2016, will be held by ÜMK at İzmir Park on 22-23 October 2016,
The Festival Off-road, scheduled for 22-23 October 2016, will be held by İPSK at Intercity Istanbul Park on 22-23 October 2016,
The Festival Drift, scheduled for 22-23 October 2016, will be organised by DRİFT KULÜBÜ at the Körfez Circuit on 22-23 October 2016, while the Festival Rallycross and the Festival Classic Car Rally scheduled for 22-23 October 2016 have been cancelled.
In addition, the Turkish Hill Climb Championship round on the 2016 competition calendar, organised by Kocaeli Otomobil Sporları Kulübü, will be held in Kocaeli on 5-6 November 2016."
