Spectacular Opening for the Games

The 2022 FIA Motorsport Games officially got under way in Marseille after a magnificent opening ceremony held at MuCEM, the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations. With 463 competitors from 72 countries contesting 16 disciplines, 'Team Türkiye', funded by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED), which has produced international-level competitors across many branches of the sport, will represent the country with 10 athletes in eight separate disciplines.
Supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, Spor Toto, Zipcar Türkiye and Puma Türkiye, the Turkish national team will chase medals in eight different disciplines: Ayhancan Güven in the GT Sprint category, Orhan Avcıoğlu and co-driver Burçin Korkmaz in Rally2, Al Türkkan and co-driver Burak Erdener in Rally4, Alp Aksoy in Karting Sprint Junior, Can Alakoç in Cross Car Junior, Kerem Kazaz in Cross Car Senior, Timur Pomak in Drift and Ulas Özyıldırım in Esports.
The final leg of the rally, on Saturday 29 October at 20:15, and the GT Sprint race, on Sunday 30 October at 16:00, will be broadcast live on TRT SPOR YILDIZ, while all other events can be followed on the FIA Motorsport Games YouTube channel.
