Okyay Sets Record and Wins Both Races

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport driver İbrahim Okyay won both Maxi class races in his BMW Z4 GT3 at Round 2 of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, held on 13-14 August, and also broke the Körfez Race Track record with a time of 42.139 seconds.

Having already won both of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship's opening two races in Izmir, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport driver İbrahim Okyay won both races at the Körfez circuit as well, taking his points tally to 40. He thus maintained his lead in the championship and extended the points gap to his rivals.

Before the start of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship Maxi Group race, which features BMW, Ferrari and Porsche cars, the Sporting Stewards of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation decided to apply a 90 kg handicap weight to İbrahim Okyay's BMW Z4 GT3.
