V1 Awards Find Their Winners

The Lassa V1 Challenge 2014 season awards night was held at the Power Media Center on the evening of 31 March. The drivers who finished the season in first, second and third place collected their trophies in front of a distinguished audience. The surprises of the night were a racing game for mobile apps based on the Turkish-built racing car VOLKICAR, and a presentation by Ümit Erdim that had the guests roaring with laughter.

GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE TROPHIES FIND THEIR WINNERS

Can Tolon, one of the heroes created by Volkicar, finished the 2014 season in first place to earn the gold trophy. Tolon, the Izmir-based driver competing with Tarih Yazıcı sponsorship, has now won the championship two years in a row. The silver trophy went to Burak Çukurova, who races with ISS sponsorship, while Mann-Filter driver Koray Muratoğlu took the bronze. The drivers received their trophies from Volkan Işık on the night. CAN TOLON WINS A TOTAL OF 95,000 TL

Can Tolon, one of Volkicar's most successful drivers, began his racing career four years ago with the Lassa V1 Challenge. His star rose with Volkicar, and his talent has so far earned him 95,000 TL. In the 2015 season, with prize money increasing, the championship will once again offer very attractive opportunities for drivers.

VOLKICAR GAME COMES TO MOBILE APPS

The evening also saw the launch of the VOLKICAR app, developed for iOS and soon to be compatible with all platforms. Available to download from the Apple Store from 31 March, the game can be played on the real circuits of the Lassa V1 Challenge. It features exact VOLKICAR versions of the Aydın city centre circuit, where the championship is held, as well as the Körfez and Izmir race tracks. The drivers in the VOLKICAR game are the Turkish competitors who race in the championship.
