The Aegean Rally, the opening round of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) Turkish Rally Championship, will be held in Izmir on 11-12 April 2015, organised by the Aegean Automobile Sports Club (EOSK). Supported by the Izmir Governorship, the Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the event will be run with sponsorship from Forum Bornova, Ramada Encore Hotel and Kentvizyon Ströer.

TRADITIONAL EVENT REACHES ITS 25TH YEAR

First held as a local event in 1990 and included in the Turkish Championship as a national-status round since 1991, the Aegean Rally is being organised for the 25th time this year.

The Aegean Rally will start from Forum Bornova shopping centre at 13:30 on Saturday 11 April 2015, with the Ramada Encore Hotel serving as the rally headquarters again this year. As in every year, the event's show stands, service park and activities will be located in the İnciraltı Urban Forest car park.

DOUBLE-START SPECTATOR STAGE AT ISTANBUL PARK

On the opening rally of the season, crews will tackle 11 special stages over the two-day event, on the Beyler, Efemçukuru and Çatalca routes. On Saturday evening, 11 April, they will then take on the final stage of the day at the İzmir Park Ülkü Race Track. The action on the circuit will begin at 18:30 with the local competitors, followed by the historic cars at 19:25. At 19:55 the spectator stage will welcome the national competitors, and drivers from the Apeks Masters Drift Series will also take to the track, raising the adrenaline further with demonstrations in specially prepared drift cars.

FINISH AT THE RAMADA ENCORE HOTEL

On Sunday 12 April, crews will get back behind the wheel from 09:00 and, after six special stages, will fight to reach the finish podium in front of the Ramada Encore Izmir from 16:45. With around 60 cars expected to start the Aegean Rally, the crews will cover 545 km of asphalt over the two days, 125 km of it on special stages.
