Kutay and Yücesan Rule at Körfez

The third round of the 2018 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship took place on 28-29 July at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track… Organised by the Kocaeli Automobile Sports Club (KOSDER), the weekend also featured the second round of the Opel Corsa OPC Cup alongside the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship.
With 12 drivers starting across the Super and Maxi groups and two races on the schedule, the Maxi group in the first race of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship finished in the order Hakan Mete Kutay, Galip Atar, Metin Çalışkan, while the Super group podium was made up of Ersin Yücesan, Tahir Bilge and Osman Demirel.

In the second race of the day the top two positions in both groups remained unchanged. In the Maxi group, Hakan Mete Kutay was once again the first driver under the chequered flag, followed by Galip Atar and Tuğrul Köseler. In the Super group, championship leader Ersin Yücesan took the top step of the podium once more, with Tahir Bilge second and Uğur Fatinoğlu third.
In the Opel Corsa OPC Cup, Ramazan Kaya won Saturday's first race, with Vedat Dalokay second and Muhammed Ali Ülkü third. Sunday's second race ended in the order Ümit Ülkü, Can Tolon, Vedat Dalokay.

The fourth round of the 2018 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship will be held on 29-30 September, following a two-month break.
