Round 2 of the 2018 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship was held on 30 June-1 July at the TOSFED Körfez Race Circuit, organised by the Kocaeli Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (KOSDER). Adrenaline Peaks at KörfezThe weekend featured 13 competitors across two categories, Maxi and Super, and was brightened by drifting displays from Apex Masters drivers, spectacular super sports cars, stands in the paddock and music and entertainment throughout the day, drawing a big crowd of motoring fans. Round 2 was run as two separate races on Sunday 1 July and produced breathtaking battles. Motoring fans packing the Körfez circuit on Sunday 1 July were thrilled before and after the races, in which the Super and Maxi classes started together, by drifting displays from Apex Masters drivers Volkan Arısoy, Abbas Çimen, Furkan Karan, Örge Pamukçu and Mert Gırgırlar. Adrenaline Peaks at KörfezIn the Maxi class, the top three remained unchanged across both 20-lap races. The wins went to BMW Z4 GT3 driver Galip Atar, who set the fastest lap in qualifying to take pole position. Second place went to ERS-MAK Racing Team driver Hakan Mete Kutay, who arrived at Körfez as championship leader, and third to his team-mate Metin Çalışkan, racing a Porsche 911 GT3. In the Super class, Ersin Yücesan of ERS-MAK Racing Team won both races in a BMW 320 SI. In the first race Osman Demirel took second in a Honda Civic Type-R, with Uğur Fatinoğlu third in another Honda Civic Type-R. In the second race Tahir Bilge was second in a BMW 320 TC, with Osman Demirel third. Adrenaline Peaks at KörfezRacing fans filling the TOSFED Körfez circuit enjoyed the Power FM music broadcast, had the chance to take a close look at the Jantmax, Autoclub and King Racing stands, and spent enjoyable minutes on the Red Bull simulator.
