Packed Grandstands as Körfez Circuit Hosts Fourth Round

Round 4 of the 2018 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship was held at the TOSFED Körfez Race Circuit on 29-30 September, organised by the Kocaeli Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (KOSDER), alongside the final eliminations of TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2018 and the Egea Juniors Cup races.
Practice and qualifying took place for all series on Saturday 29 September, when the TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2018 elimination race was also run, with 40 male and five female finalists battling it out. On Sunday 30 September, spectators who packed the circuit followed two Egea Juniors Cup races, two Turkish Circuit Racing Championship races and the first TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2018 race with great excitement.
The weekend was enlivened by shows from Apex Masters drifting drivers. In the first race of Round 4 of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, Atarlar Shell and Whey Protein-backed Galip Atar won in the Maxi class, ahead of Erpiliç-backed Hakan Mete Kutay in second and Makel-backed Metin Çalışkan in third. In the Super class, BUYPAYCOIN-backed Ersin Yücesan took the win, Autoclub-backed Osman Demirel was second and Sanica-backed Uğur Fatinoğlu third. In the second race the Maxi podium order was unchanged, while in the Super class winner Ersin Yücesan was followed home by second-placed Ozan Süzgün and third-placed Osman Demirel...
In the first Egea Juniors Cup race, which saw a close fight between the young drivers, Hasan Tansu won, Emre Şentürk was second and Onat Telkenar third. In the cup's second race, run the same day, Buğra Can Kılıç won, with Hasan Tansu second and Berk Durak third. The first TOSFED Yıldızını Arıyor 2018 race was won by Taha Küçükkut, with Şehabeddin Perçin second and Uraz İşcen third…
The final two races of the 2018 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship will be organised by TOSFED at the Serres circuit in Greece on 23-25 November 2018. Ahead of the season finale, Ersin Yücesan leads the standings in the Super class and Hakan Mete Kutay in the Maxi class.
