Classics Set for Alaçatı Show

The Classic Car Club's 21st Historic Western Anatolia Rally will be held on 2-3 June 2018 over 11 stages. Fifty classic cars, ranging from 1958 models to 1980s machines and covering virtually every marque, will compete, each carrying the character of its era. Beautiful classic cars will bring a breeze of nostalgia to the roads of Alaçatı.
The rally will start in front of the Antmare Hotel at 10:30 on Saturday 2 June 2018. The competitors will head towards Urla and stop in Karaburun for a lunch break, with the first day finishing in Urla.
The second day of the rally, which again starts from the Antmare Hotel at 10:30 on Sunday 3 June 2018, will take place on the roads around Torbalı. Day two will finish at 17:30 and will continue with the announcement of the results and a cocktail reception. The prizes for the top-placed crews will be presented at the gala evening.

Club officials say there has been heavy demand to take part this year and that magnificent new cars will be seen competing in this rally for the first time, stressing that new members and cars are bringing the passion for classic cars to ever wider audiences. As the rally, which starts from the Antmare Hotel, falls on a weekend, strong public interest is expected.
The Classic Car Club, which has been active for 28 years, describes its aim as "to bring together people who are interested in cars, especially classic vehicles that had particular characteristics in their day and are now rarely seen on the roads, who strive to preserve them and get them running again, and who wish to exchange ideas to that end." The club stresses that it is open to anyone with an interest.
