KKTOK Marshal Training Continues

The second of the Northern Cyprus Touring and Automobile Association (KKTOK) Marshal Training Seminars, the first of which took place last month, is being held on 17 May at the Cyprus Turkish Sports Writers' Association.

KKTOK President Tigin Kişmir said the association had enjoyed a successful season in domestic and international events, and that safety measures are the foundation of trouble-free organisation. He underlined the importance of training the marshals and prospective marshals who will serve at the International Northern Cyprus Rally 2018, the European Rally Championship (ERC) 2018 round and Rally Turkey 2018 (WRC), all of which will make a major contribution to promoting the country.

It was stated that fire service crews will also support the seminar with practical fire-fighting and rescue training, and that FIA-approved instructors from Turkey will be on hand.

KKTOK Sporting Director Canben Özpaşa said that teams will be selected from the candidates who successfully complete the training to serve at the Northern Cyprus Rally Championship (KKRŞ), the Northern Cyprus Hill Climb Championship (KKTŞ), the Northern Cyprus Sprint Championship (KKSŞ), the World Rally Championship's Rally Turkey 2018 (WRC) and the European Rally Championship (ERC). He added that the doors are open to anyone with a passion for motorsport who wishes to take part in the events.
