Champions-in-Waiting from Northern Cyprus Share Their Thoughts

Among the participants in the Champions' Championship, to be organised by TOSFED at Ülkü Park Circuit in Izmir on 18-19 March, are 2016 Northern Cyprus Rally Champion Rauf Dentaş and 2016 Northern Cyprus Hill Climb Champion Deniz Denner.
Northern Cyprus motorsport writer Çağın Özılgaz has gathered the views of the visiting drivers, who came to Izmir last week to drive and train in the Volkicar for the first time...

DENİZ DENNER – NORTHERN CYPRUS HILL CLIMB
I am proud and delighted to have received an invitation to the Champions' Championship as a driver from Northern Cyprus. I would like to thank President Serkan Yazıcı and all the TOSFED officials. Racing against Turkey's fastest drivers is going to be really exciting. I drove the Volkicar for the first time in testing. It is a great deal of fun and a real pleasure to drive. I congratulate Volkan Işık and his team for creating this car. My thanks in advance to everyone who has worked on the organisation.

RAUF DENKTAŞ – NORTHERN CYPRUS RALLY
First of all, we thank TOSFED for putting on such a fine event and for inviting us. This will be our first experience of the Volkicar. We really enjoyed these Turkish-built race cars in the test. As with every race, we hope it will be an event the spectators enjoy watching. We hope this great event continues and that successful Turkish drivers receive the support they deserve.
