Izmir Crew Targets Podium in Italy

The Izmir-based team Gedik Ebam Motorsport will compete on European circuits in the 2017 season. Preparing to contest the 3H Endurance Champions Cup, a series of five races to be held in Italy and the Czech Republic, the team will take to the track in these three-hour races with Ahmet Mutlubaş, Yağız Gedik and Ayhan Germirli at the wheel of a BMW Z4 GT3.

Founded in 2016, the team made a name for itself last season with strong results in the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship and gained its first international experience by starting the final race of the 3H Endurance Champions Cup.

Gedik Ebam Motorsport director Ahmet Mutlubaş said: “Although we are a new team, we are very happy and excited to have the chance to represent our country abroad as a team made up of Izmir-based competitors. We will work with everything we have to do our best and represent our country and our sponsors in the best possible way.”

After completing its pre-season testing at the Izmir circuit on Monday 20 March, the team will head to Italy’s famous Mugello circuit for the opening race of the season on 6-8 April.
