Karting Fever at Izmir Park

Round 2 of the Turkish Karting Championship was held at the Izmir Park Ülkü circuit on 9-10 May. The event got under way with the first races on Saturday and concluded with the second and third races on Sunday.

National driver Berkay Besler, who continues a successful run on the international stage this season, achieved another big result by finishing first in all three races, just as in the opening round of the season. In this class Mehmet Mert Dalkıran took second, while Zeynep Şen secured third with 45 points.

In the Mini class Zekai Özen took the win, with Pars Erdem second and Kerim Sulyak third. In Formula Master, Mehmet Yaman stood on the top step of the podium, with Süleyman Sırrı Kolot second and Hüseyin Yıldırım third. In the RMC DD2 class, Berk Durak was another driver to end the weekend with a win, while Kerem Zengin finished second and Mehmet Çınar third.

Round 3 of the Turkish Karting Championship will be held at the İzmit Körfez circuit on 27-28 June.
