Dreams Come True
Registrations have opened for the TOSFED Is Looking for a Star project, organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) and sponsored by FIAT... The project aims to discover young and talented drivers aged 18-25. Following the selection rounds, a total of 12 drivers – 10 men and 2 women – will get the chance to compete in Fiat Egea race cars.
Candidates applying to the TOSFED Is Looking for a Star project must:
- Be aged between 18 and 25,
- Meet the weight-to-height index: maximum height + 10 kg,
- Be at least a secondary school graduate,
- Hold a driving licence,
- Have no health problems,
- Have no criminal record...
Drivers who meet these criteria must first obtain a national circuit racing competitor licence for 500 TL through the TOSFED Licence System at http://lisans.tosfed.org.tr . Participation is limited to 1,000 people and registrations will remain open until 31 May. As part of the project, all participants will get the chance to drive a Fiat Egea race car in the selection rounds, which will take place from July at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track and at other venues to be announced later. At the end of the selection rounds, the 40 most successful drivers – 35 men and 5 women – will be chosen, and these 40 drivers will receive advanced driving technique and circuit racing training from TOSFED, under the supervision of professional drivers and instructors.
At the end of the elimination race between the 40 finalists, the 10 most successful men and 2 most successful women will be selected and earn the right to compete in TOSFED Is Looking for a Star 2017 in Fiat Egea race cars. The licence fees of the 12 selected drivers will be refunded, and all of their expenses during the racing period – including race equipment such as overalls, helmets and gloves, as well as accommodation and transport – will be covered by TOSFED...
