Young Drivers Head to the Track

The ‘TOSFED Seeks a Star’ social responsibility project, organised by the Turkish Motorsport Federation (TOSFED) with the support of FIAT, is being held for the fourth time this year. Aimed at bringing licence-holding young people aged 28 and under into motorsport, the project's first group of qualifying sessions will take place with 241 participants at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track on 11-12-13 May 2022. Following the first qualifying sessions, 20 male and 5 female participants will earn a place in the final selection rounds.

A further 25 participants will be selected in the second qualifying sessions, to be held on 30-31 August and 01-02 September, where all participants race against the clock in Fiat Egea race cars. A total of 40 male and 10 female candidates will then take part in the two-day final selection rounds on 29-30 September. After the training and final selection rounds, the 10 fastest male and 4 fastest female drivers will get the chance to compete in the three-race 2022 TOSFED Seeks a Star series in Fiat Egea race cars, free of charge. At the end of these three races, the stars of 2022 will be crowned in both the women's and men's categories.
TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı said: “We are continuing our TOSFED Seeks a Star project, through which we introduced more than 1,200 young drivers to motorsport in the first three years, with the aim of discovering new talent and bringing it into our sport this year. At a time when interest in motorsport is growing, we invite all our young people who believe in themselves to take part in this project.”
Registration for the second group of ‘TOSFED Seeks a Star’ qualifying sessions closes on 02 August 2022. Licence and registration procedures for the project can be completed online at www.tosfedyildiziniariyor.com.
